On September 21, 2006, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Tax Consulting" was adopted, which defined the legal status of the institute of tax consulting in the Republic.
On August 4, 2022, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. ZRU-787 "On Tax consulting activities" was adopted, which expanded the rights and guarantees of tax consultants ' activities, types of tax consulting services, and defined the rights of the Chamber of Tax Consultants of Uzbekistan.
The Chamber of Tax Consultants of Uzbekistan (hereinafter referred to as the Chamber of Tax Consultants) is a professional association established on the basis of voluntary membership of tax consultants, organizations of tax consultants, which is legally assigned the functions of developing and coordinating activities in the field of tax consulting. The activities of the Chamber of Tax Consultants are regulated by this Law "On Tax Consulting Activities" and are determined by its charter. Members of the Chamber of Tax Consultants retain independence in carrying out their activities. The Chamber of Tax Consultants may establish territorial and interregional representative offices and / or branches. Draft legal acts containing norms and rules governing relations in the field of tax consulting are approved by the Chamber of Tax Consultants.
A group of specialists (headed by Mr. Khashimov Kh. Z) of the State Oil and Gas Company of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the GTZ project were trained in Germany. We got acquainted with the Society for Assistance to Income Tax Payers. As a result, in 1998, the Republican Information and Consulting Center was established under the State Customs Committee of Uz.
Seminars and round tables were organized with the participation of auditors, lawyers, representatives of state bodies and public organizations of Uzbekistan, where the creation of an independent institute for tax consulting is discussed. The mass media published articles, speeches, informational messages on the problems of tax consulting, and developed a database of ideas.
A group of specialists from the State Oil Company of the Republic of Uzbekistan and representatives of some professional communities on the GTZ technical project were trained in Germany. We got acquainted with the Society for Assistance to Income Tax Payers.
Presidential Decree No. UP-3620 "On measures for the development of micro and small enterprises" instructed the relevant ministries to develop a draft Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On tax consultants". The ideologist of the adoption of the Law "On tax consultants" was the first Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Committee Gadoev Erkin Fayzievich. The working group on drafting the Law included Bahramov Rustam Askarovich, Nabizhonov Bahodir Saitzhonovich, Golysheva Irina Hristosovna, Minibaeva Tatyana Mikhailovna, Artikov Khudaibergan Azimbayevich from the tax authorities, and Indina Irina Aronovna from the NGO Chamber of Tax Consultants.

In Bucharest, Romania, the Chamber was accepted as a permanent guest of the General Assembly of the European Federation of Tax Consultants (EFE). The Chamber of Tax Consultants of Uzbekistan was represented and presented by Acting Chairman of the Management Board B. S. Nabizhanov (Members_About US — CFE Tax Advisors Europe). Every year, members of the Chamber participate in events organized by the Council. The Chamber organizes annual Advanced Training Courses with the involvement of specialists from the Ministry of Finance and the State Tax Service. The Chamber's Tax Consulting Training Center provides training courses for tax consultants, as well as seminars for entrepreneurs and round tables.
